I just found out that I’m going to be out of touch for maybe quite a while. I’ll let Elizabeth know more whenever I can.

In the meantime, please don’t ask her if she’s heard anything yet, or if she knows anything else. I’m sure she’ll let everyone know as soon as she does.

If you’ve been watching the news, you’ve seen we’re having quite an exciting day over here.

We’ve had several SCUD alarms so far and it probably won’t stop anytime soon. I’m sending this to everyone at once because I may not have time to type separate emails!

You may have heard on the news that a Patriot intercepted an Iraqi missile. The Patriot came from very close to where we’re at.. soon after the siren went off, we heard a loud sound which we later realized was the Patriot launching. But for a split second there, we thought it was the incoming missile we were hearing, and let me tell ya the pucker factor was pretty high!

I’m surprised they haven’t cut off our email access yet. Maybe they’ll actually leave it going. I’m not sure if the phones still work or not.

Hello everyone! I haven’t been able to keep in touch as much lately so I just wanted to send everyone an email to say hi. Things are pretty much the same for us right now but things can change on a moment’s notice. I also wanted to let everyone know that when the war starts they will probably cut off our email and telephone access for a while, so in case you don’t hear from me, that’s why.

I got Shell’s package today (thanks!) but not any of the others yet. I have been getting cards and letters though; they don’t take as long apparently. So for the rest of you I’ll just have to say thanks in advance!
